Trillizos Volcano
Volcán Trillizos is an excellent geographic location for seeing the small and big islands of the Galapagos from a distance such as Floreana, Santa Cruz, Isla Tortuga (Turtle Island), Roca, and Unión among others. Volcán Trillizos is a great place to rest and we provide staff that is qualified and experienced in camping, caving and rappelling. The descent into the volcano begins at the highest point of the main crater and ends at the lowest point of the second crater, a descent of about 170 meters. Volcán Trillizos opens your imagination to the historic past of the volcano, captured in each of its rocks. Volcán Trillizos has an altitude of 500 meters and is located along the slopes of the Sierra Negra Volcano which reaches 1,124 meters above sea level.

We will pick up passengers at their hotel at 7:00 am to begin with an unparalleled journey, an exploration in the area where there are three volcanoes connected inside to the Sierra Negra volcano and subsequent descent into one of the craters. The activities begin with an exploration walk while appreciating the view from the top of the mountains. The adventure increases when you reach the crater prepared to descend in rappelling mode and with hanging staircases (via ferrata). At this time, we will take all the necessary safety measures such as harness and safety ropes followed by a briefing by the guide so that the descent is safe and extreme at the same time. In the deep of the first descent, it is already possible to observe tunnel ducts that connect with the sea and others with the calderas of the Sierra Negra volcano.
In this site there is a lot of minerals that with contact with light allows an incredible color show of great amazement for those who are lucky enough to see it live.
After approximately three hours of tour, the explorers will ascend again to return to Puerto Villamil. The vehicle will take the explorers to the destination they want, be it a connection with another tour or their respective hotels.
